Pirate Map Invitations

Pirates were the ruff neck explorers of the high seas who traveled the globe in search of treasure. Their stories are legendary that have captured the attention of peoples imaginations for centuries. Because many pirates were fairly poor and lived from robbery to robbery they didn’t have any real dress code but instead were more like scavengers, using and wearing what they came across as they went. This is something you can keep in mind as you plan your pirate party and send out your pirate map invitations.

Most pirates had mismatching outfits that were a collection of unfortunate souls who lost in battle. Which is why their outfits are so flavorful in style. From the boots to the hat pirates were very mix matched. Because being a pirate was such a ruff and tuff life style, they were shunned from society and their dress made them stand out like a sore thumb. Pirates would take over other ships when they attacked them and would either steal the ship or sink it depending on which ship was better. They of course would take all the loot with them. Making your pirate party seem as if you are onboard a ship would go well with your pirate party invitations.

To really make your pirate party costume look good you should add a hat, boots, coat, sword, and eye patch just to name a few. You might try a hook or peg leg although that will be harder to pull off. Other things you will want to have is a eyeglass, a pirate flag and pirate treasure map invitations to send to your guest. Another great item is to have some fake messed up teeth and some makeup to make your self look dirty ad nasty. Chances are most pirates did not bathe much.
